The trailer is sold with a clean California title in the seller’s name. A blue cover is included and is equipped with weights. ![]() The steel trailer is painted black and features diamond plate steps, a guard for the boat’s propeller and rudder, and disc brakes. The double-axle trailer was custom built by Sport Boats in San Jose in 1998. The engine plate is stamped with number 64675, which matches the engine number listed on the Chris-Craft equipment record.Īdditional photos of the soak-type wooden hull are attached in the gallery below. A spare water stainer base and gaskets are included. A crack is present on the exhaust manifold, and the oil cooler bottom and top are missing. The engine was rebuilt in 1989 as part of the refurbishment, but has not been started by the seller. The Chris-Craft Model K flathead six was rated for 95 horsepower when new and turns a single propeller. The varnished dashboard contains a reverse-sweep 4k-rpm tachometer and gauges for oil pressure and amperage. The boat is also equipped with a split windscreen and a two-spoke steering wheel positioned on the right side of the forward cockpit. This model of Chris Craft was only produced for two years (1959-1960) and in this time, 825 hulls were produced. The plywood floorboards, engine box, and bulkheads are finished in white, and a vintage Quick Aid fire extinguisher is included. The interior is paneled with mahogany and features burgundy upholstery on the front and rear bench seats, as well as on the engine box cover. New red and green lens covers for the bow navigation light are included. The vessel’s name, “Bunky,” was painted by hand on the transom by Smilty Yacht Lettering. The sides are batten-seamed and feature gold letting for the registration number, hailing port, and manufacturer name. The vessel measures 17′ long and features a 6.7′ beam and a draft of 22.” The wood hull and decks feature a varnished finish above a white boot top stripe and a brown, double-planked V-hull. ![]() The boat was built at Chris-Craft’s Cadillac, Michigan plant as a custom sportsman model, featuring a polished stem-band and mahogany planking. This Chris-Craft has remained in storage since, and is now being sold at no reserve with a dual-axle trailer, boat cover, manufacturer’s equipment record, spare parts, and clean California title in the seller’s name. The boat was acquired in 1994 by the previous owner, who put it into storage in the 1990s and eventually donated it in 2014 to the seller, the Tahoe Maritime Museum. Work included refinishing the wood exterior and rebuilding the original six-cylinder Chris-Craft engine.
